Network TAPs

Having the ability to monitor traffic at critical points is one of the most important tools in your network security toolkit. Niagara Networks builds Active and Passive Network TAPs with a wide variety of configuration options to fit any need.

Passive Network TAPs can be used for fiber infrastructure and use optical splitting technology to send a portion of the light signal from a network link to a network security or monitoring tool. Passive TAPs require no power and are extremely reliable.

Active Network TAPs can be used for copper or fiber links and pass network traffic through a custom switching fabric in order to provide enhanced flexibility for Network Visibility. Niagara’s Bypass technology removes failure points from the monitoring chain.

Niagara’s Modular Network Packet Broker systems are our industry-leading solution for building customized TAP and Bypass enabled Network Visibility solutions. A wide variety of modules are available, providing 1Gb through 100Gb Active and Passive TAPs as well as Bypass protection.
